Thank you for visiting Ecomattressdeals.com.  We take your privacy seriously, and have therefore written this Privacy Policy to better explain how we collect and use your information.  This Privacy Policy is a binding contract and you must agree to it in order to access our website or use our services.

2.  Personal Information We Collect

In order for you to place an order with us, you must provide us with your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and credit card information—we may also require additional personal information depending on the circumstances.  We will not disclose any information that you provide to us except in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy, or if an angry guy from the Russian mafia threatens to hurt us if we don’t tell him where you are.  Because your products are dropshipped, we will need to share part or all of this information with the fulfillment company responsible for shipping your item to you.

3.  Non-Personal Information We Collect

We may collect information about you that is not personal information.  When you access our website, we may collect such things as your IP address, browser, operating system, referring URL, and other general information about our visitors.  This information, on its own, cannot usually be used to identify you without a subpoena, police badge, or a crowbar and a map to your ISP’s headquarters.

4.  Account Information

You must not provide your login details to any third party, political party, or keg party.  Not only is this a breach of your account’s security, but it would also violate our Terms of Service.  It’s also just plain dumb because we have your credit card info.

If you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account, or you are no longer able to access your account, you must notify us immediately with full details so that we can take the necessary action to secure your account.

5.  Use of Information

We may use your information:

In order to distinguish you from other users—especially other users on the same network as you and Siamese twins—we need to use cookies to track your specific computer.  We limit our use of cookies to keeping you logged in and remember your preferences, and remember your shopping cart items.  So, if you disable cookies, you’re really inconsiderate because we went to all of this trouble just to add these features for you.  Also, you won’t be able to use the site properly without cookies.

We do not have third party cookies on our website or permit third parties to access your cookies, other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We already went over this with you in our Terms of Service, but in case you have a short attention span, let us remind you that we may link to third party websites from our own website, including sharing information with third party social networks like Facebook and Twitter.  We have no control over, and are not responsible for, these third party websites or their use of your personal information.  We recommend that you review their privacy policies and other agreements governing your use of their website.

8.  Third Party Access to Your Information

We protect your information from being accessed by third parties.  However, since we may employ outside maintenance personnel or use a third party to host our material, there are third party entities which may have custody or access to your information.  Because of this, it is necessary that you permit us to give access to your information to third parties to the same extent that you authorize us to do so.  For greater certainty, every authorization which you grant to us in this Privacy Policy, you also grant to any third party that we may hire, contract, or otherwise retain the services of for the purpose of operating, maintaining, repairing, or otherwise improving or preserving our website or its underlying files or systems.  You agree not to hold us liable for the actions of any of these third parties, even if we would normally be held vicariously liable for their actions, and that you must take legal action against them directly should they commit any tort or other actionable wrong against you.

We may disclose your information to a third party where we believe, in good faith, that it is desirable to do so for the purposes of a civil action, criminal investigation, or other legal matter.  In the event that we receive a subpoena affecting your privacy, we may elect to notify you to give you an opportunity to file a motion to quash the subpoena, or we may attempt to quash it ourselves, but we are not obligated to do either.  The truth is we probably won’t care to notify you because we are lazy.  Really, if your criminal activities extend so far as to involve interstate commerce relating to environmentally friendly mattresses, you may want to tone it down a bit.

We may choose to, but are not obligated to, use security measures such as SSL certificates and rabid Dobermans to help secure our website.  However, no precautions are completely preventative of security threats, so you must take action to independently protect yourself.  This includes using anti-virus and firewall software on your computer, router, and other devices, such as getting your own rabid Dobermans.
